Unfortunately, the post by Trent at Simple Dollar comes off as cheap and even dishonest…recording a book into a voice recorder to avoid buying? Taking up space at a coffee shop to conduct business and only getting a free water?? These are not the kind of tips we really need.
However, his point that stuff doesn’t make a person happy is well-taken. And I like the questions as a way to filter purchases that are not necessary.
But his examples are just simply rude! Read the comments at that post…his readers seem to get it better than he does!
